Busy nose

The first day of Dris`s scent dog training and we turned some heads. Im thinking asking if we can use deer blood as a scent for him to search for is unusual!! I wanted him to search for this as i am training him to track shot and wounded deer. He was super today and the instructor knows about the traits of gsps becoming bored quickly so tailered it nicely for him. She uses little soft toy mice from ikea and puts the scent on them. But to put it into perspective she put a paper towel with a few drops of deer blood at the bottom of a tub the mice and then the same on top. The white mouse is still pure white so its the tiniest molecules he is searching for. He cottened on so fast and has been brilliant at it. Really looking forward to tomorrow now!!

My mum is just cooking me dinner which is great as i am exhausted!!!
