Apricots and dates

Just in from rugby.

Just about to go to football. 

Just time to take on some fuel. 

"These apricots are past their date," he says, continuing to munch on them. 

"Ah, I'm sure they'll be fine," I say, while thinking "and if they're not, we'll find out soon enough".
