A Whopper

After a bit of a mauling at the camera club photo critique evening yesterday, I was at quite a low (photographically speaking) today. A week long cold is not helping my mood either.

I spent ages today looking back over some of my pictures (not all blips) and was almost at the point of giving it up.

I almost didn't bother to take my camera out on our walk this afternoon - but I did and found a couple of patches of fungi - and this monster (possibly an inkcap) which is about 10 cm tall (not including the stalk). It was basking in the sunlight. Not quite a perfect specimen - maybe someone poked it or it had developed around a plant stem and created the hole.
