Logie Kirk and Churchyard in the autumn sunshine
I attended the funeral mass of an old friend of my mum's today in Stirling, with the interment afterwards at this beautiful graveyard at Logie at the foot of the Ochils. She was a single lady from a large family, and many of her 18 nephews and nieces and their families came along and honoured her long life. Her sole remaining sibling, who incidentally was my much-loved teacher in primaries 5,6 and 7, had travelled from her home in Australia. Her family and mine are closely linked through marriage so lots of memories of family gatherings in years gone by were fondly recalled at the funeral tea. So another bittersweet day.
