Back to the apple

So it can't have escaped too many people's notice that today was Back To The Future Day  (21 Oct 2015 being the 'future' date travelled to in the second film of the trilogy); it's been all over social media and even mainstream news bulletins!
Perhaps fewer people aware that this date is also, apparently, international apple day [no, not [i]that[/i] Apple].
