Marsh Orchids
Today I took the dogs round Chapman's Well and lured by the warm sun took a longer route through what turned out to be a bog flooded after yesterday's deluge. It was wonderful though with skylarks meadow pippets, willow warblers and curlews filling the air. And like the other wild places I walk this year crowded with orchids - common spotted and marsh and hybrids. They seem to like this warmish wet June!
