Parish chest

Church of St John of Beverley, Salton, near Kirkbymoorside.
17th century panelled chest. The original was 13th century.
I spent twenty minutes in this church photographing the chest and then another half hour trying to get a little chaffinch out through the door. If I had left without trying it would not have survived. I hope there wasn't a CCTV camera filming this individual running up and down, waving both arms about and clapping loudly at intervals.
