Estuary

After a very windy morning, the afternoon turned out to be a lot calmer with a few bright spells, so I took the opportunity to take a break from the work laptop and go out for a short walk along the banks of the river Mersey at Pickerings pasture.
There were a whole flock of birds on the mud banks but they don't exactly do too much!
