Lunch along the Grand

Well, the Cubbies lost...in fact they were swept away in four games and won't be seen until next spring....but the father-son road trip was a huge success!!
They finally arrived back at our son's house at 3 a.m.....so today on our way home, I drove on back roads so Al and I could slowly soak in the gorgeous color and sunshine!  We stopped in Grand Ledge (about half-way home) for lunch, and this is the view waiting for us when we got out of the car.  Ironically, this is the same river that flows by our son's office building in Grand Rapids, over an hour behind us!!

All in all, a really great two-day adventure!!
