Bitches in Bed

Our household has been incredibly busy this past week. We're exhausted. Even though we're physically aching and mentally fatigued, there is satisfaction that comes from getting things done and having created wonderful memories. But, for the next few days I can blissfully imagine us going to bed early and rising late.

My partner Kathy and our Maltese Lucy, are sleeping late this morning, as I finish cleaning up from the previous evening's party. Kathy, laughingly, came up with the title. I never refer to her as a "bitch." Lucy, on the other hand, is, not only literally a "bitch," but is, all too often, behaviorally one, as well.
