Sad rug

This is how much the cat has ripped out of my new expensive rug tonight. When the cat treads on the rug, you can see the desire to rip it up cross his little face. He checks how close I am, but sometimes, even if I am right close, the desire just overwhelms him, the head dips, and the front paws start ripping.
