Chimney shadows
The morning sun was making some cool shadows on the chimney and wall. Played around a bit with this one.
Extra: What's wrong with this picture? Tomato plant flowering outside and little tomatoes forming in late October??
We went for a walk down Burgoyne, parked on the road and walked down to the park entrance then came back through the fields. We heard a huge crash and knew a tree had come down. After walking a ways, we saw the tree trunk in the far field - it had obviously come down across the road. Then we saw sparks starting a fire! The tree had fallen across the power lines and pulled them down. We heard several loud cracks along the wire then a loud bang as a transistor blew. A bit scary - we were parked under the power lines, but luckily far enough along that the wires were still up where we were. A few minutes later, a fire truck arrived then another one. By the time we got back to the truck, a policeman had arrived. Good thing this hadn't happened in the summer because those sparks could have caused a fire that would have spread instantly. And good thing we didn't go further down the road to where we often park or we'd still be there waiting for everything to get cleared up. I think the people who live down that way will be without power for awhile.
The mysteries of blip - I can't delete previous extras like I could a couple of weeks ago and I keep getting signed out and have to sign back in. Anyone else having these problems?
