All you need is light
After torrents of rain all day, the air at 7pm was exquisitely clear and sharp - and so the light wasn't hazy with damp or dirt, but as clean as a scalpel. I just loved the colours in the slate roof of this Victorian park building, patched with the shadows of leaves... One photograph that wouldn't be the same at all in monochrome.
If I didn't have a policy of not Photoshopping blips, I'd clone out the bits of trees... or (even more wickedly) paste more in. But I do have that policy, so I haven't done either.
