Breakdown.

My car finally gave up and died at about 5 o'clock this afternoon. The oil pump failure, along with the broken turbo, led to a complete seizure in the middle of the junction onto the Manchester Road just as rush hour was getting going!

Amazingly, it took about 5 minutes before anyone bothered to stop and help me push, despite it being obvious that I needed a bit of help. Instead I was hooted at......thanks a lot.

The 2 offers of help that did eventually materialise came from guys who were foreign. I was hugely grateful to them and rather depressed at the attitude of everyone else.

Tomorrow it will be towed away for scrap
