Lakeside stroll

This afternoon I took a stroll around Temple Newsam grounds with my eldest. I wanted to see how the trees looked in Autumn, as it is a remarkable place for its planting and trees. You are spoilt for choice in locations... We wandered down to the lakeside (Menagerie Pond), and up to the walled garden this time. 

This doesn't generally meet the Flower Friday, in that most people seem to post close up macro's of flowers, whereas this picture captures a wider scene, with a flower bed as foreground to the lakeside picture. But I like it...
