Checked in!

Here is our bed for the night. In the Ladies Maid Room at Leeds Castle, and in just a moment we are going down for drinks, followed by dinner in the Henry VIII Banqueting Hall. I have guided in that room hundreds of times but tonight we are the guests. I will share this honour with approximately 20 other members of staff plus their partners at the Long Service Dinner. Tomorrow's blip will have the details.

I was slightly perplexed however to find that the letter in the room was addressed to Mr L.! Still I've only been here 21 years.
