Dolphins galore

Bruce and I, with two more Dad's and Boys (Richard & Sam, and Alex and Joseph) arrived in Craobh Haven for a weekends sailing.

Saturday could not have been much more windy or more wet so we went to Crinan for tea and scones.

But later in the afternoon, the weather improved and we took our Oceanis 411 for a quick blast round Shuna, and up to Cuan Sound. We were joined by 4 fully grown dolphins, which swam and jumped and played around the boat for an hour. They are so much bigger than I imagined, they must be about 8 to 10 feet long, and weigh I think maybe 200kg - huge. They did back flips and head stands, and then swam alongside looking at us. They could not have been more than 4 or 5 feet away
