The Swastika stone
I thought I would wander along the moor in search of a blip. My path led to the Swastika stone and the view from the escarpment. I have no real idea where the name comes from. The stone is obviously of historic significance as it is surrounded by an iron fence (hence the crop). I did learn something about the stone though. A passer by told me that the carving easily seen at the front of the picture is actually a copy of the original on the stone just behind - you can just about make it out. I did photograph the stones more directly to show this but I lost the view over the valley, which I wanted to include.
