Going For A Walk...Wanna Come?
Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly reporting!
It is generally understood that humans take dogs for walks. Let me tell you - this is a common misunderstanding. We, the dogs, are actually the ones who take THEM for a walk, helping to protect our humans from insanity and breakdown!!
Mum was very excited this morning. After being let down several times by the guys doing the work to our kitchen/utility room, today was the day that all the remaining jobs were to be done. Mum almost sent the builder a message last night to say: "DON'T cancel this time!"
So when the text came through at 745 this morning, guess what it said?? Yes, you're right. Mum was NOT happy!! After finally calming down she asked if he would at least come and do ONE job - install the new toilet in the utility room as she felt that was the most urgent. He agreed and showed up at 1pm. Only to find out that the VERY carefully chosen toilet was not compatible after all with the very non-standard waste pipe.
So....needless to say, Mum was very upset and wasted spent quite a bit of time back at the drawing board and has now got a new one ordered, arriving in a couple of days and the builder PROMISES he will be back NEXT Friday to do ALL the work - another week of waiting!
A 'little' annoyance, Mum says, but she REALLY wasn't happy. Thankfully, late afternoon I convinced her to go for a walk. I know her well. Fresh air and a bit of stretching of her legs, even on a grey day, does her the world of good.
What WOULD she do without me??
