Poor little mite

I thought this was such a sorry looking little heron. An unusual pose to see them in actually as usually they are side on, neck stretching or staring at the water looking for a fish.Maybe it was just enjoying the sunshine or keeping out of the wind.
The more I look at it the funnier it looks. Does it have a long neck. It looks more like a penguin.
