If You Want me, Run Away Now.....

My kids put me to shame.

Tonight we all headed out together, Si needed to do something Scouty... In actual fact he just likes going down and rumbling. He does love his Scouts. Si was going to help Boy with a Bleep test. Tooli and I were going to observe, and I was going to look at the sea.

We all had a rumble at Scouts, and then we went to the beach. Found a suitable flat spot of 20 metres of grass, and Boy started. He was going far too fast to start with, Tooli was holding the iPhone and Si was shouting the bleeps.

I wandered off for a look at the water.

When I came back Boy had run 10 levels of the bleeps which equates to around 2 km. As I scrambled barefoot back over the shells, I heard Boy Shout "Dad's gonna do it".

When I got close enought I could see Si and Boy were running up and down, two levels and Si had had enough. Then we badgered Tooli to have a go.

Tooli managed to Level 7 in her bare feet and no sports bra, which I believe to be an amazing achievement. I ran the last two 20 metres with her. The rest of my time, I was laying on my belly in the grass enjoying the sun and enjoying being with my family.

Monday nights can be quite nice.
