~Arizona~
~Sunset Over The Tortolitas~
Yet another very peaceful evening watching the sun go down.
The vault of heaven slowly goes from white to blue to red to ebony.
This includes all the hues, tones and colors in between them.
A painter could come to Arizona if he ever ran out of pigment.
And we would still have enough color left for the photographers.
Thanks for stopping by!

Epilogue #7
What does it means to me to belong to the Blip.
Pros - Making friends and acquaintances from all over the world. Being able to share your vision of that world with others. The shear joy of photographing that world everyday. Having your images looked at and scrutinized, commented on and rated. Being encouraged by your friends and peers that you are a better photographer than you think. Discovering in the middle of the day that your photo made it to the spotlight page and then seeing it make its way to the top of the spotlight page. Receiving the honor of have one of your images make it to the rated section and then seeing it remain on the first page. Then there is the inexplicable exhilaration of coming across your journal on the one of the two 'most popular' pages. But real happiness is seeing your journal slowly climb into that first 'most popular' page. And finally, the knowledge that you belong to an extended family and that you can be a member of that kindred group of photographers for as long as you choose.
Cons - Seeing one for your favorite photographers and/or friends stop posting to the Blip, and you don't know why. Knowing that one day you might be one of them, though you vow to keep posting at least once a week. The ultimate dread, it to find one morning that you have lost a subscriber! You don't know who, you don't know why, and you just don't understand how this could happen. Or someone, and you know who you are, gives one of your favorite images a '1' rating. It would be ok if they just left a comment describing there motivation to click on that first box. Discovering in the middle of the day that your picture is no longer on the spotlight page. Then there is the sinking feeling of seeing your journal slip from the first 'most popular' page to the second most popular page, and continue to slip down the page.
But what is the biggest negative of all you ask about belonging to the Blip? It is realizing that you can't keep posting every single day for the rest of your life. That all the good and bad, pros and cons, the sweet and the bitter will slowly slip away.
No one likes to say goodbye.
