Shining Clough

Seen through the drizzle -  no sign of the bird of the week the Great Great Shrike ( though others has seen it earlier in the day ) but we did get a lovely low flypast from a female Merlin !

On the return walk we were charmed by a tight flock of 50+ Goldfinches with 3 Cormorants flying past
