Merthyr Mawr village, Bridgend, South Wales.

Merthyr Mawr is a small village near to me with a lovely collection of 19th century cottages and as you approach it, it is almost like stepping back in time.  The name Merthyr Mawr actually means Great Tombs and is named after a large stone age burial complex that now lies under millions of tons of sand which form the dunes near the village.
