Twilit tree

This is one of the last pears left on the tree. 

To be more accurate, after I ate it, this had been one of the last pears on the tree. 

Almost forgot to take a photo, with the daylight draining away during the New Zealand v South Africa game. 

Watching the rather chilly weather forecast after the news, I couldn't help thinking of Matt sleeping under canvas somewhere near Peebles. 

And I couldn't help wondering when "grass frost" became a thing.
