Protea

I have seen my first protea today, at Spiers farm and winery.
Even more magnificent than I imagined.

A very hot day, and the wind has dropped.
Visted Stellenbosch market this morning, where we had bacon sandwiches, and bought some cheese.

Then on to Spiers farm ,the Eagles and birds of prey, and a walk round the protea garden.
Not a lot out yet, but these were huge!
Much bigger than I thought.

Back home for a relaxing afternoon by the pool.
Ate in tonight .
A fur seal swam past just as we finished .
M and G watched the rugby. As South Africa were knocked out there wasn't much celebrating roundabout!
