A bit of poison ivy growing on a silver maple. Poison ivy turns very red in the fall but is still as much of an irritant as when it is fresh. This is not a very good specimen as it does not show the typical trolobed leaf. I liked the bark on the maple, however, so that was as good a reason as any to go with this shot.
We spent the afternoon watching the rugby. We only get to see the semifinals and the finals in our neck of the woods. A tight game and I am very happy with the result. If they play Australia, I don't know who I shall root for (for whom I shall root!!!). Tuesday the Royals and the Mets in the first game in the World Series. Thank you all of you who were cheering the Royals on with us!!
