The Shires

We enjoyed a superb gig by the Shires this evening at the Shepherd's Bush Empire. They're a British country music duo from Hertfordshire (Ben) and Bedfordshire (Crissie) with a talented and energetic backing group. Tonight was the final date on a sold out tour and the venue was full to bursting with fans of all ages. I saw them earlier in the year at the Union Chapel in Islington, and it was noticeable just how much their fan base as well as their own confidence have grown in the meantime. The place was rocking.
