Cat in a hat!

I spent my morning making fajita chili soup and carving my pumpkin.  I found it amusing that when I took a photo of my pumpkin earlier today, my witch had a "halo"!

I soaked my carved pumpkin for a few hours in a bucket of bleach water as I heard that it kills bacteria spores and helps the carved pumpkin to last longer.  We'll see if it does.

The fajita chili soup was good if I may say so myself but I had forgotten how dirty dried beans are.  It was worth all the work and mess but won't be in a hurry to go through all of that again.

F.Y.I.  Everyone came through for me and yesterday was a success.  The meal for the family went very well and they were most appreciative.
