Olympic fever hits Wakefield

After yesterday's experience in Brighouse we decided to avoid the city centre in Wakefield today and headed for a roundabout with barriers round it to get a better view. We got permission to bring Charlotte out of school - all but the foundation year were going anyway - and got there early. As it happened we ended up surrounded by her school anyway and it was a lovely atmosphere.

We got the view we wanted, I got some good photos and am really glad that Charlotte got to see it, it is a once in a lifetime experience.

I headed back to work, C went back to school and the hubby headed into town to meet the mascots!

Another proud to be British day!
