Hydrangea
For the first Saturday in over a month we had a normal Saturday morning cleaning the holiday lodge. Too wet to go and do any work outside.
I suggested a trip up to a garden centre to claim our October cups of coffee and have a look at what is colourful at the moment for the garden.
Hydrangeas have undergone a lot of transformation over recent years, no longer are the round pompoms of blue or pink I knew as a child. The one I have blipped is very new and has a new shape; Hydrangea paniculata "Vanilla Fraise" The flowers turn from white to strawberry as they mature and it claims to be extremely hard.
I love it! Though is won't fit in with my planting scheme for the lodge.
