Golden beeches

I live in a house called The Beeches and our beech trees are full of autumnal gold. I took the camera with a 400mm lens into the garden thinking I would photograph the birds, but then I saw that I could photograph one beech with the other as the backdrop. There was no sunshine but the colours were wonderful.

I've been sorting out photographs to take with me on the photo workshop in Exmoor next week. I picked more apples - they are brilliant this year. This afternoon I caught up on a bit of TV drama on the iPad with Bowlby snuggled up next to me.
