Out to the Forest

After yesterday’s moan about gardening I thought today I had better take myself out to the forest so when the rain cleared up I set off for a walk.
I started past the beaver dams and found they were no longer there. As I predicted I guess the farmer got fed up with part of his land being flooded and removed the dams. I think it’s a great pity because they weren’t taking so much of his fields, but beavers are no longer endangered in any way in this part of the world so I can understand.  I hope the beavers moved on to more suitable terrain.
Then I followed the sun, moving through the forest rather than on any path.  The extra blip was taken in full sun. Eventually I dropped into the next valley and into the shade. The sun shone on the next hill for another 15 minutes before it set, an hour earlier than yesterday.  I rather liked the contrast between the shadowed and  the sunlit forest so that’s today’s blip.
