Water
Went for a short walk down by the Water of Leith this evening. Saw a Dipper flying past - too quick to photograph - and a Heron - much more accommodating as it slowly walked up and down along the water's edge. And I took a few other pictures of the lush green vegetation and some flowers. But in the end I went with this, much more abstract image of the rushing waters. The river was quite high, after the recent rains, and had a rich brown colour. The close-up of these waves reminded me a bit of a William McTaggart painting - something like The Storm that is in the National Gallery in Edinburgh and one of my favourite paintings.
