Keeping an eye on things

Cosmo likes to keep an eye on what is going on. Here she is on her perch in the conservatory, quite happy, but keeping an eye on whatever might be going on in the kitchen.

It is strange how her understanding of English has evolved. Some words seem to be beyond her comprehension. Examples include "stop" or "down". These words seem to have no effect, though sometimes they result in an indignant look.

Other words, "treat" is an ideal example, she seems to have no trouble in understanding. On hearing the word "treat" she will stop whatever she is doing and come dashing over, tail wagging, to whoever uttered the word.

We were scraping walls most of the day to remove old wallpaper. Cosmo took some interest in proceedings, though restricting her involvement to keeping an eye on progress.
