Beach day

After a though week of work we decided to leave the city for a beach day!

Before heading to good old Taina beach, Jip took us to his secret beach. In the middle of one of our rural operational areas a beautiful beach is hidden.
Unfortunately we ended up in a typical Haitian situation: one guy claims to be the caretaker of the beach, so he starts asking us for money. Jip knows that's not true and starts a little discussion, which then turns into an enormous discussion between all the Haitians on the beach. Many more people join and the discussion grows bigger and bigger.
It turns out that everybody agrees with us, that we should not pay and that the guy is not the real caretaker. Nonetheless he keeps his foot down.

So we left without swimming and headed to the other beach. Where I had an amazing lobster for lunch.
