Cycas Revoluta

Looking like an alien growth.....The Cycas Revoluta producing an ovule that is going to grow to about 50-75 cm in length. One of the oldest plants on the planet. If you are a evolutionist they date back to the mesosoic era. Some of the cycas produce this interesting growth whereas the others in my garden produce a set of leaves per season, called a break.
