Fountain's Abbey

Had a  wonderful day with Draco and her Hubs Gari up in North Yorkshire.

We did the Studley Royal Deer Park and then went on to see the abbey illuminated as darkness fell, complete with choir whose singing floated melodiously through the  silhouetted ruins and over the twilight lawns outside. Beautiful!

The 2 husbands who are non-blippers (or nearly non as in Hubs' case) did excellent sherpa - ing, were handy with torchlight and advice and proved top back up!!

We met up with lovelupins17 in the darkness of the abbey grounds - and what a fantastic picture she has taken! Check out her blip! We met blipper fotojunci whose blip (this on the link) had inspired all of us to turn up that night and it's amaaazing!!!! Bonus blipper was Majikcat who I enjoyed a chat with down in the cloisters. All good fun.

Sooo much fun too to meet up with Draco again and also really really nice to go out on a jaunt with a fellow photographer who I greatly admire! I have also just got to mention Draco's lovely mother-in-law and her husband who insisted that we drink copious amounts of tea before we set off :)  It was a great day but just a pity it took us 3 hours to get back to my parents in West Yorkshire with accidents and motorway closures!! They had actually locked the door and gone to bed. Yes...we should have rung :/ However all good in the end.
