autumn colours

Beside the River Brathay near Ambleside. 

When I drove past here mid morning on the way to the gym the colours looked stunning. Couldn’t believe my luck when there was a parking space on the way back, considering that it’s a busy holiday week. 

No wellies or tripod and just a pocket camera but think I’ve captured the beauty. Two more in extras.

That left me time in the afternoon to rake up leaves …….. mine, my neighbours and the highway department’s. No doubt there will be a lot more to clear before long.
