Ollie The Bullie
I had just parked at Amwell Nature Reserve on the side where there's room for only a few vehicles. As I was unpacking my gear a beaten up van arrived and I watched amazed as the driver manoeuvred it into an impossibly small space, missing a concrete bollard by a hair's breadth.
The lovely dog above bounded out followed by its terrier-like master. I complimented him on his driving skills and on his dog. He was very friendly in a bullish way and obviously a nature lover, telling me kingfisher tales. Ollie dog is a dear.
With their strange little triangular piggy eyes bull terriers are what I call pretty ugly and are very loveable. Ollie adored snuffling in the golden carpet of autumn leaves intensified by the late afternoon sun.
