Mono moon Monday...

Spent the day working with cattle. A 3 bike plus Land Rover rodeo to bring the first batch of 36 heifers in off the hill. After a few circuits and a couple of fence jumps we got them in and started to sort them out. Backs clipped, wormed ,pneumonia vaccine and shed the Angus crosses off from the limousin crosses. Had an unforseen hold up when one beast bent the rod holding the cattle crush doors in position. Much swearing, hammering ,unbolting ,more hammering,re shaping and re bolting and we were cooking with gas again.
Trailered them over to the slatted shed . Next batch planned for tomorrow.
An unplanned trip to Lauder to run one man home after the clutch packed up on his car while reversing out the shed tonight.
A full moon rising and some missed oats along the field edge.
