Winkworth Arboretum

I had a lovely afternoon today , walking through Winkworth Arboretum , admiring the truly impressive collection of trees in their Autumnal splendour . The beautiful collection of trees is the result of one man's vision , who bought the valley and it's lakes in 1937 to use as a canvas for planting trees to 'paint a picture ' , and what a fabulous picture it was today ! After much walking , I stopped off en route home for a very nice lunch in Godalming . Have added a couple of ' extras' of the few shots I took . Feeling tired , so off to bed now . xx
