Homemade Quarter Round

I needed (but did not have) a short piece of quarter round for a small project I'm working on.  Instead of going to the store to buy it I decided to try to make one.  To get the rough shape on the edge of the board I used one of my favorite hand tools, a block plane.  I really like to see the curly ribbons of wood it produces.  The hand plane is not used much in today's wood-working but I'm glad I have one and get to use it once in a while.
