dark eye in the bright sun

This dark-eyed junco seems to be squinting.
I always hear a flock of juncos before I see them, and by seeing them I really mean seeing activity in a bush rather than actually seeing the bird.They stay hidden in the bush and move so fast!
But this morning I was lucky! This one came out into the sun, and maybe that is why it is squinting.
