Strange Smells
Drove to Rotorua, renowned for its geothermal activity and sulphur smell, which can take some getting used to but is fodder for a lot of giggles and pranks from kids. It's the only place I've seen recently though, where the locals light up a joint on the main street and wander around. Also heard one shop assistant being interviewed by the local constabulary regarding a shoplifter heading off out the shop and down the street (with her pushchair) - when she chased her was told "you can't touch me" and just kept on walking. The cop said they were out looking for her but if they can't spot dope smokers out in the open, I don't fancy their chances....
The building is the iconic Rotorua Museum.
