My Best Efforts - Year 3

Blue Sky - Blue Flower...............

I was going to blip the Red Lily but as the sky is blue - a blue flower it is.

This is a Canterbury Bell - a beautiful sky blue - proper
name - Campanula persicifolia grandifolia. They can range
in size from a few inches high to about three feet. The species includes the humble hairbell to the blousy one which has buds shaped like hot air balloons.
When open the texture is a bit like tissue paper, you can see the sun shining through the petals.
This one seeded itself in a shady spot next to an old stone
wall. (probably because it favours lime in the soil).

Try on Large

Enjoy the sun if it shines where you are.
