Trafalgar Bridge
Trafalgar bridge is situated near Honiton at Weston and spans the River Otter. This river may very well have otters but it is also the home somewhere along its banks to a family of beavers. A couple at the hotel walked a few miles and then drove to another section but with no luck of any sightings. Apparently this year they have young.
The bridge itself was built in 1805 to carry the turnpike road (old A 30) from Honiton to Awliscombe. Somewhere nearby there is a toll house.
We met L and J for lunch at the Otter Inn just near the bridge and then drove home having had a really good couple of days away.
