Autumnal Acer

Our acer provided some welcome bright colour amongst the general damp greyness this afternoon.

Most of the day was spent doing those things you do the day after you get back off holiday, apart from calling in to see Tess's Dad to remind him we are back.

Tess's brother and his family have been staying here for five days to visit him while we've been away; they left this morning but he had no recollection of having seen them.

Such a terrible and frustrating thing to have your memories taken away like this.
