St Alphege
I was on an academic writing workshop at the university this evening run by Professor Tony Harland of Otago University, New Zealand. It was really good, covered many useful and enlightening things - and they laid on a cream tea!
Pictured is the St Alphege Building on the campus. It's named after the patron saint of kidnap victims and one time Bishop of Winchester.
In other news, the cows were in the holding pen at the common this morning with two herdsmen and a vet. I discovered later (on Twitter) that they were checking to see if the cows were pregnant. It turns out that all of them are and so there will be the pitter patter of 64 tiny hooves next March. And I know for a fact that baby Belties are extremely cute :)
