Red Hips

A day of progress.  The outside of the studio now looks finished, it isn't quite yet but it looks like it and sometimes it is good to pretend.  And an afternoon in the garden planting some spring bedding.  Bulbs next.

Red is the dominant colour in the garden.  There is a sorbus which would give an acer a good run for redness.  I took some shots of it but didn't manage to capture one to do it justice.  The rose hips are just shouting to the birds - EAT ME!  And I liked this clump of hips against the yellow of the leaves with the green just draining away.
